Les balises sont des système électroniques avec des composants de haute technologie.
Comme tous ces systèmes, ils peuvent dérailler a cause d’ événements extérieurs à leur environnement. On peut évoquée les chocs magnétiques d’orages, mais aussi les flux de particules cosmiques. Ces éléments, de notre environnement peuvent même traverser la terre et faire dérailler les programmes. Il faut prévoir, au cas ou, l’accès à nos balises pour procéder a des arrêts puis remises en marche ( récet ) ou simplement pour changer la pile.
